The Science behind Perfectace Total Fix Face Moisturiser

The revolutionary formulation in Total Fix Face Moisturiser contains numerous scientifically proven ingredients to help promote skin’s health and reduce visible signs of ageing. Konczak et al conducted a study titled ‘Antioxidant capacity and phenolic compounds in commercially grown native Australian herbs and spices’ in 2009 whereby researchers found that Mountain pepper leaf exhibited the highest oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) of all native foods they tested demonstrating the leafs superior antioxidant properties.

The leaf analysis also showed a content of Vitamin E which was 10 times more than that found in blueberries, and 75% of the recommended daily intake of Lutein & Folate were present within Mountain Leaf. It was also found to be a rich source of magnesium, zinc and calcium.

Bae et al conducted a study concerning the ellagic acid which is found within Raspberry Oil titled ‘Dietary compound ellagic acid alleviates skin wrinkle and inflammation induced by UV-B irradiation’ 2010.

This study examined photoprotective effects of ellagic acid on collagen breakdown and inflammatory responses in UV (ultraviolet)-B irradiated human skin cells. From their results researchers concluded that ellagic acid did prevent collagen breakdown and inflammatory responses caused by UV-B and “therefore, dietary and pharmacological interventions with berries rich in ellagic acid may be promising treatment strategies interrupting skin wrinkle and inflammation associated with chronic UV exposure leading to photo-ageing”.

Sultana et al in 2007 published their study ‘Effect of pre-treatment of almond oil on ultraviolet B-induced cutaneous photoaging in mice’ by which they investigated whether almond oil reduced the degradative changes induced in skin from exposure to UV radiation.

After 12 weeks of exposure to UV radiation, the mice were found to have pronounced visible skin changes. Results of the biochemical tests, glutathione estimation, and lipid peroxidation showed that almond oil did reduce the effect of UV light-induced photo-aging on the skin. Histopathologic studies also indicated a photoprotective effect of almond oil on the skin after UV exposure.

Researchers concluded topical almond oil was capable of preventing structural damage caused by UV irradiation and it was also found useful in decelerating the photoaging process.
